I believe, at the most basic level, all a parent desires is for his or her child(ren) to be happy.
Therefore, God wants you to be happy.
Therefore, if you are not happy, you should do something else.
How then, if God is love and God is a father, does He condemn his children to eternal damnation? What can my children do that would make me inflict unending torment upon them?
Nothing.
Therefore, I am a better father than God. Or the Bible is seriously fucked up.
So, I think I'd just rather go to Hell, then. If my Dad wants to torture me forever and forget me in the asshole of the Universe so he can hang out with the kids who wanted to grow up to be just like Him instead of finding their own path, well... I don't know if it's better to reign in Hell, but I sure do not wish to be anywhere near a monster like that!
So, for the record, either the church and the steeple (open it up and see all the people) is all wrong, or God is.
I think I'd rather believe the former. After all, how could God be so stupid?
I think I'll just have my own God. My God loves me. Imperfect, idolatrous, lustful, indignant, wrathful, judgmental, skeptical, doubtful, hateful me. My God loves me for who I am, no matter what that means. And my God thinks you are an asshole for thinking otherwise. Later this week, He is going to smite the fuck outta you for being such a small-minded prick to think that you can somehow sit in judgement on the life of another human being. "Love the sinner, hate the sin", right? Hypocrites and liars. Seriously. Gay people are gay. If it's such a lifestyle choice, then become queer right now. Be turned off by women and turned on by men (assuming the reader is male, of course). Because it is a choice, right?
I don't think so. I can find a man handsome. I can see a man's body and admire his physique with an artist's eye. I cannot look at him and think, "Gee, I gotta get my penis in that." I could have sex with a man, I just can't see sex in a man.
As awful and difficult as women can be, you better believe that I've tried, too.
So, then... I'm apparently not only a better father than the God of the Bible, I'm a better man, too. Because I just don't give a shit what you do with your own life! It's yours! Live it! Leave me the fuck alone!

So you say it's the word of GOD eh?
Here's what I don't get. These are suposedly the words of "the LORD" who is an all mighty and all knowing god and therefore should be sexless and without bies. So, why is it the bible seems to be written by a very gender-biesed man who hates fags and whores? Beacause it is!!! And then when you try to exlpain this to the bible thumpers they tell you that your words a blasphomous! Are these people blind or just stupid? Or both? If the bible were really the word of "the LORD" then there wouldn't be a book at all. It'd be a simple piece of paper that says love your fellow man and do onto others as you would have them onto you.

The point here is that they would not dare tell a man with testicular cancer that he can't go to church, right? The village will not gather together to murder a teen mom. Women preach. All those things we can overlook, apparently, but homosexuality is a big no-no.
You want to impress me with your piety? Kick the children of unwed mothers out of your church. And if she marries, make sure to bludgeon her to death with rocks.

The problem with religion is...
... that it's founded by people!! People are corrupt. People are selfish and bitter. Most of all, people are stupid!!! People want to see too much of themself in God and because God is perfect they and thier beliefs must be perfect as well. If there is some invisible man in the sky who created everything and is everywhere and is all-seeing and all-knowing, then how is it even remotely possible for a human being to be anywhere near what he (or she or it whatever your preference may be) is. We need to stop viewing god as a person and start viewing God as a person and starting viewing God for what God is. A patsy! God is the excuse for people to do what they want and shield themselves under the blanket of religion. It's just like that bitch at the bar who waits till she's "tipsy" to start sleeping around so that she blame her whorish ways on alcohol instead of simply admitting that she's a raging slut. "It's not my fault I raped and murdered half the Arab world... God told me to do it." "It's not my fault I straped that bomb to my chest and killed all those people... God told me to do it." "Those people deserved to be burned at the stake because... they were going against the word of God." More people have been raped and murdered in the name of God than for any other resaon. "It's not my fault I locked my kids in the car and pushed it off a bridge.. God told me to do it." Today people would look at an excuse like that and think that that person is crazy, but the same sort of "witch hunt" that the blacks went through (along with the jews and arabs and anyone else who doesn't have the same skin color, beliefs, or invisible man in the sky) is happening to gays and mexicans today. And God forbid you try to reason with these people!! If you do then you'll be just another blasphemist in the seas of sodomy and unrighteousness.
People are fucking stupid and need to stop shoving there beliefs down other people's throats. IF THIS CONTINUES WE'LL ALL CHOKE TO DEATH ON OUR OWN BULLSHIT...
