As a Site Architect, you are nearly equal in power to the Benevolent Dictator.
There is almost nothing you cannot do to the site.
You are expected to know as much, or more, about the inner workings of this site as any living human.
This is not a role that will be rewarded lightly. Expect the interview process to be both lengthy and brutal. In fact, it is probably safest to not even ask.
All this aside, there are rewards for taking on such responsibility:
What sort of power? Well, Site Architects have complete access to all content types. Site Architects may create, edit, or delete any node. They may create, activate, block and delete user accounts. They are responsible for maintaining order and so may mediate (edit/delete) comments, Forum threads, and manage chat rooms.
Responsibilities would include assisting with upgrades, updates, living in fear of bodily harm if you break something important, and sharing in all the hundreds of hours of work that hides beneath the surface out of the sight of mere contributors.
Good times!
