The Notifications module currently allows the system to send email that helps keep up to date with recent site or content updates.  The system will not send more than one e-mail per day and will only send them if there is something to report.

In this case, no news is bad news.

Settings

Master switch

Notify status:  This turns e-mail notification off and on.  If you do not wish to receive these mailings (one per day, max.) simply turn it off by selecting Disabled.  Simplicity!

Detailed settings

Notify new content:  Whenever new content is added or existing content is updated, the system will queue it for inclusion with the e-mail notification.  If you would like to receive notice of content creation (or updates), simply Enable this switch.  The system will include links to all new (or updated) content on the site in the body of the e-mail.

Content:

• Title will limit information about new or updated posts to the title of the post and provide a link to its location.
  This is the recommended setting.
• Title + Teaser will show the title of a post , a sample of text from the node body, and a link.
• Title + Body may result in very large e-mails.  The entire node body will be included.

Notify new comments:  If you would like for your notification e-mail to include new comments as well as content, Enable this option.
