Flintlock

You've threatened my honor you've insulted my life,
your words and your actions cut like a knife.
Yet I will not sit here and let you walk on me.
Tomorrow at dawn there will be a duel to see.
We'll stand back to back making us both matched,
and the honor will be reclaimed with the flints scratch.
Ten paces we'll walk and then we'll both turn,
and the lead will propel as the gun powder burns.
From the keenest eye and the steadiest hand,
we will determine who's the most honorable man.
Yet even if I fall prey form this duel at dawn,
I will still have reclaimed my honor once gone.
